You have probably heard about terms "VHF Television", "UHF television", "AM" and "FM" radio, "CB radio", "short wave (SW) radio", and so on. What are all of those different names really mean? What's the difference between the terms?
An electromagnetic wave that propagated by an antenna calls a radio wave. Radio waves have different frequencies, based on tuning a radio receiver to a specific frequency you can pick up a specific signal. The radio spectrum is the radio frequency (RF) portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.
